With Saturday fast approaching GriffFM is back on the horizon, and the future looks good!
On Saturday the 28th of January, media students in Griffith College Dublin will be starting up their annual radio station, GriffFM. GriffFM will run for 9 days finishing up on the 5th of February.
Griffith College Dublin would be well known in Irish media circles for producing a fine pedigree of media students. With alumni spread all throughout Ireland working for the likes of RTE, Newstalk, and TV3 it’s not hard to see why.
The effort is comprised of a media students of varying levels and courses, being made up mostly of Bachelors and Masters students. With the mixture of young promise and seasoned experience, this promises to be one of the best years yet.
The time slots and shows will be covering a wide variety of topics and genres, with each show having something new and fresh to offer. Covering everything from sports and transfer news to current affairs and Trumps hairline.
I myself will be taking part in a sports show from 2-6 on the weekends, as well as the Late Late Breakfast show from 10-12 on weekdays. So make sure to save the date so you don’t miss out on anything.
There will be competitions held live on air, special guests from all over Ireland, and discussion that would stimulate Albert Einstein. It’s going to be a real blast.
If you would like to tune in, crank your dial to 107.8 anytime between 10 in the morning to 10 in the evening in the coming week. You can also listen in online at http://streams.gcd.ie/griff-fm.mp3.
